Downpipe/intake worth it ? Hawkeye STI
Hey guys,
Put a post up a while ago about making some more power on my 2007 Hawkeye STI, running about 310/320bhp at the minute and to cut a long story short decided against going down the big power/forged engine path but instead have been thinking of putting on a decat downpipe and new intake and then getting a new map (current: exhaust system from downpipe back, uprated clutch, lightened flywheel, EBC bluestuff pads, front and rear struts, high flow panel filter) like I said before not looking for massive gains more along the lines of a better throttle response and improve the way it drives.
any opinions would be appreciated,
Thanks

I Fitted decat down pipes to both of my hawk Sti's I've had. Your will notice more torque and less turbo lag.
Will need a remap after fitting tho.
Also have a lightened flywheel fitted to my current hawk and I wouldn't personaly buy one again. Didn't make Hardly any difference. Also no need for a updated clutch oem can easily handle up to 400.
