Recently bought a bugeye wrx and due to a narrow drive between houses and my missus coming home from work at half past midnight along with the boomy exhaust its causing some strain with the neighbours. I want to quieten the thing down with a prodrive backbox but my midpipe is 3" whereas all the boxes seem to be 2.5", is the prodrive stuff all 2.5"? Is there much difference between the two diameters power-wise ?

Buy a quiet 3" one will be easier mate as the prodrives are 2.5. All back boxes are different noise wise so find one that suits you in the size you already have.

 

Someone would probably swap exhausts with you if you are local enough to them. My blob has prodrive back box and standard centre pipe and I'm look for something a little louder.
