Default Wont hold pressure on inlet pressure test? Help please.

Hi folks.

Can anyone help. My 02 wrx is making a hell of a whistle on boost. No obvious loose hoses. Airbox seals correctly. Has mishimoto y pipe and bov pipe. All joints good. Intercooler looks fine.

Bought a good quality turbo and inlet pipework test kit off ebay. REmoved oil filler cap as instructed. Connected airline to this kit where MAF goes and with intercooler connected. Blanked off crankcase breather. Wont hold pressure.

Removed intercooler and blanked off that pipe from turbo inlet hose. Still wont hold any pressure. Can hear the air rapidly going somewhere but no bubbles with leak detector spray all over.

Am I missing something obvious ? Can air escape through turbo somewhere Im missing?

Thanks

You can't test an entire engine in one go as you have so many places air can go. Or through breathers and everything else. Pressure testers are designed to test each individual component one at a time

THanks dexster81. Do i have to blank off the hoses that branch off the main turbo inlet pipe?

If it was me,id blank all of them off and test . Then unblock one at a tome ,test that line for leak and ,if sound, block up and move to the next and so on till one is found to be leaking. just an idea
