Might be worth getting it checked on a code reader. Just thinking it could be the sellers diagnosis without confirmation. ie, it my be something else. The NPS on an Sti can have an effect on the performance of the vehicle (AVCS) so make sure it's deffinately that.

If it is the NPS for certain then it's pretty straight forward to replace (bit of a feel it job)

I do wonder why someone would own a car like an 03 Sti and run around with a dead NPS. Seems silly not to have it running right, and then to sell it for someone to knock money of or potentially be put off?

Yea it was diagnosed when it was being mapped. Bit disappointing as hate buying a car and doing work on it straight away

£50 part and half an hour on a ramp, Just need to drop the box a little bit to get your hand/spanner on to the switch on top of the box, Its just a plastic pin in the switch and they just wear flat over time.
