Retrained Power?
Ok, I have a 1994 WRX, changed Up Pipe, de-cat down pipe, straight through system, de-resonator air pipe with cold air feed to box with Do Luck Panel Filter. Uprated fuel filter to the Walbro 255.
Just been mapped to 285bhp which is noticeable but It feels like there's more there to give whilst accelerating and that something is holding it back, especially higher in the rev range.
I'm also get a dead spot / jolt ad 4,000rpm though the gears?
Are there two different issues who or are they both linked?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Phone the the garage who did the map and take it back as there is obviously some issues. I would not run the car on boost until it's been checked and fixed to be on the safe side.

as above, sounds like its either missing or clipping boost cut, take it back, its not right.
Drive it steady till you get it looked at, only takes a split second to kill the engine if its nto right
