Default Knock knock

I have a 03 sti that's started making a pop pop pop sound in slow speed corners only when moving slow and about half lock to the right forward and to the left backwards also you can feel it a little going backwards anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like one of the cv joints have gone. Put the car on full lock one way and try to take a lok at the driveshaft end at the hub . stands a chance the rubber boots come off and failed and lost its grease. If clean , check the other side . This should give some indication of the side affected. Get back if more info needed

It's not the cv joints I've had them looked at its only on about half lock and only to the right forwards and left backwards there's a definite clunk backwards after a few yards too?

ah ok. if you can, jack the car up , take the wheels off. Take a look at the brake calipers and check that theres no excessive movement of the brake pads in the caliper. there should be retaining pins and flattish springs. without these the pads tend to move round to much causing knocking noises. Sorry i cant be more helpful.
