Fixing speedo face
As above I'm wanting to know if theres anyway to do this or should I just buy a new speedo and swap the insides?
So the pervious owner of my car has done an 'L.E.D' conversion which involves taking the clocks apart, and removing the green paint from the inside of the faces of the dials.
Video showing 'how to' to show what he's done:
I tried a green window film tint so see if that works but it took about 2 hours and theres still stupid gaps of bits missed - would say its nearly impossible to do it that way, ideally need some sort of paint.
Any ideas other than buying a full speedo,
Anyone by chance have just an STI speedo face? :P
Thanks, Matthew.

the LED's generally aren't as good for sending light around, if you put normal bulbs in you'll get much better light from them.
*edit* - was yours done like this with additional LED's or just LED's where the stock bulbs where?

the gel sheet thing may be something for you to look into to get some color back

Fitting coloured film to the back is entirely possible and not that hard. I have done it four times now. You just need to fold a sheet of film on itself so its now twice as thick and not sticky at all. They you just slide it between the gauge face and clear backing plastic trimming and checking over and over until is fits right with no gaps. It doesn't need to be stuck there as its held in place anyway.
