How to remove type R rear qtr windows

Default How to remove type R rear qtr windows

Needing to pull the rear qtr glass out for my shell getn painted, I've read how the trim comes off but can't find anything about how the glass is removed, any help would be great thanks

I asked this some time ago didn't get any or many answers iirc.

I believe although there is a seal they may actually be bonded to the shell so a windscreen fitter may have to do the job for you.

They only come off with chicken wire buddy. Carefully take the trim off, the quarters are bonded in. Run a piece of chicken wire behind the glass starting from the corner and simply cut through the existing bond. It's easy enough to do, be careful removing the window trims though they bend easily if working alone. Hope that helps mate

Why remove the glass when painting the shell? Taking out the exterior trim around the glass is enough surely?

Was checking how there fixed if there bonded it's not a issue as someone already said there wasn't many answers when he asked this before
