Default Is this safe for my car?

Hi All,

I have a blitz nur spec R exhaust and I LOVE it, however my neighbours don't particuarly enjoy it, especially when I leave for work at 6:30am...

Obviously one solution is to get a quieter exhaust, although I think even one of the quieter ones will be loud at 6:30am.

My other idea was one of these... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UNIVERSAL-...item1c2bfe76c8

Could have it sort of 75% closed just as I poodle off in first gear out of my road, then open it completely when I start driving.

My question is - will having it closed while I poodle off do any damage to the engine/turbo due to the extra back pressure?

Not too sure how that would affect the engine really but I also have a Nur spec R on my classic. I just bought the Blitz bung for it off eBay. Helped loads when driving normally and still makes a hell of a noise when giving it some.

I have a bung for mine but I looked at fitting a silencer to the centre section
