problem on forge dv

have just fitted a forge vta dv dont hear any noise what so ever got a k&n 57i in there that makes a hell of alot of noise more than the dv. on high revs u can just about hear the dump but the k&n goes ape s**t????????
any suggestions??????

Yep had same problem


Ope it up and check spring... Possibly you have stiffer spring One is red other is blue cant remember which way round they go but all you need to do is get in touch with Forge motorsport and they will send you other spring free of charge

basically u need the blue spring.

if you take the car for a blast and change up at full boost u should hear the whoosh - get someone to stand by the roadside

Your DV has to be SERIOUSLY LOAD to be able to out noise a induction kit.
i can just about hear mine over my induction kit but i like the chatter and the roar induction kit makes.

lookin to fit an ind kit to my99.heard so many neg things .What make have you installed and have there been any probs?

thanks guys
got a k&n 57i as stated only fitted it recently but a beaut so far lovely chatter noise but the whoosshh needs to be there

I have the same prob with the K&N + forge dump valve. I changed the red spring for a blue, and got lots of Woosh from the dump, but it was also leaking at low revs!

I put the red back in, but can only just hear it over the wastegate chatter through the K+N.

I am a bit concerned that the DV is working as weel as it should, might put the standard air box back to see if I can hear it working correctly.
