Default sti intercooler classic

Hi
I have a classic my99 with ppp,
I'm thinking in upgrade my standard intercooler to a sti intercooler
Will be any improvement? In my standard intercooler i have silicone hoses yet

sti is much better than the standard my99 one. its a little bit of a fiddle to fit, with modifications to the brackets and the clutch resevoir required.

But i'm talking about classic sti intercooler, not a newage ic
The brackets will be the same i supose?
