Default a few questions

started stripping my car down a bit for cleaning and checking for rust ,

i did the front and back door trims and rubber seals today , that went fine.
also took off the boot spoiler because i could see rust starting at the edge , that has happend because the seal between spoiler and boot lid was missing in places causing the spoiler to rub paint away ,

so first question , what can i use to replace that seal.

i also see rust starting along the top of the rear windscreen

question 2 , how is the windscreen trim removed

i tried to remove the rear lights but they seem to be bonded in , took out the five nuts but it still wouldnt budge.

question 3 how are rear lights removed.

the black rubber bits behind the wheels at the end of the side skirts , the bolts holding them on are well rusted

question 4 any suggestions on how to replace the rusted bolts if i take the rubber bits off

any replies would be greatly apreciated

i would recomend removing boot spoilers on classics to clean and repair the seal , was a real mess under there

i'll post pics if i work out how

As regards the rear lights there glued on, replaced loads of them, you just need to pull one side then the other, at times i've used a rubber ,mallet to tap the threads of the screws behind the lights to easy them out. As you easy the lights out make sure the side facing the arches doesn't rub against body work

As for the other bits if your referring to the rubber spats, as in picture, i used a hack saw to get them off, not easy at all, removed side skirt and popped in a vice, there are heavily glued on aswell, so need prizing off. Just glue back on.

for the spoiler double sided foam tape for pvc windows would be similar. a small amount off slicone or PU would probably work fine.

as for the other questions adding your car info to your profile would help
