Question 06 STi Hawkeye too quiet

Hi All,

I have just swapped my old classic UK Turbo out for a 2006 WRX Sti Hawkeye Prodrive.

My old classic had a Hayward Scott exhaust with ScoobySport back box and sounded great.
The STi doesn't have that lovely burble which I miss terribly.

So, I've had a scout around the forums but seem to be getting more confused as to what I need to do...

The STi has a factory fitted Prodrive 340 pack, so do I just need to replace the resonator section with a straight through to get the burble through the Prodrive backbox or am I going to have to replace the backbox too?

Hopefully someone out there will know the answer

I shouldn't worry it'll soon get a bit more noisy when the hg and ringlands fail.

I fitted a nur spec cat back to mine and it was pretty decent. Im running 3" decat downpipe onto the nur spec now and its a good bit louder.

Running a Milltek Catback and it sounds sweet...some burble but nice when opened up fully!

Thanks for the advice.
I think I'll try the deresonated section 1st as ScoobyReedy suggested.
