Hi there

Personally I would avoid eBay silicone intake hoses, they're OK for standard boost levels(1.0bar),but above 1.0 bar they can collapse,we run eBay silicone hose at 1.4bar without the issue, its really depends on the makers, but seems all those hoses are made in same company in China

I would go with custom made intake hose from intecooler pipework,we run this hose on our wagon at 1.7bar and this hose never collapsed under boost

Samco or Viper Hoses are best and as above Mishimoto seems are good too,but expect pay premium for those hoses as for eBay specials

Thanks,Jura

I'm sold on viper hoses, really can't fault them or the service. Another good supplier is pirtek who supply industrial hoses, good quality and cheap but they only sell straights and 90dg angles.

The viper ones look good , I'm going to have to prioratise what I do first , service , brakes hoses ,

Also considering striping car down a bit to clean and check for rust .

Can't see the set for the water hoses for my year there though , it's never easy

Unless your hoses are perished and NEED replacing, they would be very far down on my priority list.

Steer clear of ebay rubbish, Viper, Samco and SFS are the way to go, the kits are not that expensive.

ASH (Auto Silicone Hose) based out Wakefield were good. Ran them in my Focus ST @1.2 bar with no problems.

Admittedly I only bought them as they were one of the few available in Orange!

Airtec use them for all their intercooler/induction kits.
