Hello chaps,

Total Subaru noobie here, quick question for the Subaru experts, i've just acquired a 52 plate Impreza WRX with a blown head gasket, engine work will be getting done next week and the car is solid apart from the front frame that's pretty rusty. Most is just surface rust but where the ac condenser/radiator mounts is rusted right through, some pics below. Is this part of the frame replaceable? How would I go about it?

Also is it structural?

This is my first Subaru so know nothing about them

seems too be a common rust spot on newage, mine failed mot for it. So bad news is it needs replacing but good news is plenty of scrap shells about so you could have a replacement section welded in. Its a fairly decent area for access so isn't a bad job
