Default AC unit ( broken down)

My car cut out last night and now will not turn over to start! Battery's gone dead too ! The AA came out and said suspected jammed AC unit!!!! Would this cut the car out and kill battery ? Because I'm thinking if the belt is moving the alternator won't be charging

They're separate belts mate, the a/c is on its own belt. I would have thought the a/c belt would have just burnt out and broke if the a/c compressor had seized. Take the a/c belt off anyway if it's still intact to rule it out. I'd be checking for earth strap problems between the battery and the engine block/starter too. Worst case, the cam belt has jumped round a few teeth on the pulleys based on what's been said on your other thread.

If it doesn't turn over check the starter motor, but been as the aa came out I would of thought they would of done that. See if you can turn the engine by hand. If the engine doesn't turn then take the auxillary belts off. If it still doesn't turn by hand then the engine is seized.
