Default Thermostat seal gasket

Just getting around to fitting the thermostat on my project... as I didn't have the thermostat cover with then engine when I purchased it I'm not sure if there is a gasket or is it just a round seal,

anyone know what I need??

You can use just three bond. Need gasket engine side though.

Just the rubber seal that goes around the thermostat is all that's needed, don't go using sealant as its not required
