Default Piston ring gap ej20g

Guys,

I took out the engine from my Legacy RS because i felt some pressure on the water circuit so i figured that, after 230k km the head gasket pressure was going on cooling circuit. So took the engine and decided also to keep all standard but change, not only all the gaskets but also rod bearings and piston rings (keeping original piston and rod).

I called today to local store to buy a set of NPR piston rings and the guys said that theres two diferent gaps for ej20 engine, .25 and .3 .

Any idea of the original gap of the EJ20G engine came in my Legacy RS 93?

What if i buy the wrong ones?

I would favour the .2 if your bores are worn, .3 if there good, either way its no big deal if your engines done that mileage as the pistons & bore must be showing wear, have you not measured the bore & piston.
