Default Limp mode problems

Rite my scoobie impreza turbo 2000 uk model was running slow for a long time with check engine light on found problem which was knock sensor I replaced and it worked perfect again full power I recently got a gearbox fitted and as soon as I got it back it was back in to limp mode with check engine on some of the times again?? It just fizzles out at Certain revs and in 4th upwards power is crap any idea what could have been done when gear box was changed to cause this?? Iv unhooked the battery over night loads of times and makes no difference

Have you done the ecu reset? Afaik the ecu holds power so disconnecting the battery doesn't always work

Mine went into limp mode after fitting a crappy induction kit, even when I put the oem one back on it wouldn't come out of limp until I did the reset. And if it's still doing it there are instructions on how to read the fault codes via the same connectors.
Hope it works out for ya
