Default Removing Turbo Heat Sheild

Hi all,

I need to replace the circlip on my waste gate arm as it keeps jumping off however I cannot get to it without removing the turbo heat shield. I have removed all the bolts however I cannot see how to fit the shield past the intercooler, brake and power steering reservoirs.

Has anyone removed this shield before? Is there a simple way of fitting it past the engine components?

Cheers!

I've just done exactly this, this morning - to adjust my actuator arm (which I found had no preload). After having fun getting to all 7 of the heatshield bolts, I tried everything I possibly could to get the heat-shield off, but ended up removing the intercooler and the bracket that holds it on. After that, the heatshield came away easily.

It will come off without taking off the Intercooler ona classic

It's a bit fiddly amd just need to bend the bracket slightly on your hand and force it over the clutch fluid ? Bracket
I took mine off for Painting
