Combustion leak detector (Sniff test)
Hi guys,
With regards to sniff tester kits, should the tester be used on the header tank or the radiator?
Thanks a lot.

What car we talking about here?
Anywhere there's something to sniff I would have thought. I Think your rad (if its got a cap) should be full to the brim so not a lot of 'air' to sniff. Then again I don't think the header tank will have much air space either but probably a better bet.

You're right, both radiator and header tank are full to the brim - I think removing enough to draw air without coolant will be required.
