Default Stumped!!

Hi guys, still stumped at my wrx, few weeks ago I gave it a wee thrashing on the local circuit, but noticed now that it doesn't boost til much later (5/6000rpm) and it's very weak, can't find anything wrong or see anything obvious, it's pretty much standard, a baileys dump valve is the only exception

You have answered your own question. Baileys dump valves are **** and always give bother, try a standard recirc valve and see how it goes.

Ok so maybe change the bov? It still works and dumps air or am I just being thick and it's not operating right?

It could have a weak spring and be opening under boost when it should be tight closed.

Ive currently got a perrin bov, might revert back to a recirc, do the recircs just plumb into the fmi pipework like the bov?

well i think like that the boost has no ware to go but back towards the turbo causing chatter and slowing the turbo down. i supose you could combat this with lighting fast gear changes but to me blanking seems the worst of the three options!

Changed the bov from a mates to mine to see if that made any difference, he's got a hks ssq and made no difference at all, still my boost comes in really late and weakly, checked all over for vacuum leaks and nothing found, now is it time for anyone in Glasgow with half a clue to come and have a look and help me here lol
