Default Going 2.5 forged

Hi all
I'm in the process of going the above route.
My spec will be
2.5 cdb
Mahle competition grade 2618 pistons and heavy dutypiston rings.

Race bearings from ACL

Steel rods

Heat treated crankshaft

11mm cosworth ultra head studs

modified oil pump

Is there anything else you would recommend? ?

Sounds good!

Where are you getting the 2.5 CDB? Is it linered or solid?

What are you doing about the ECU? ECUTEK with racerom looks good for the 2.5.

oh...well what about upgrading the engine and gearbox mounts? I ask because iam going to be doing a similar thing soon I hope and I've read that the original mounts aren't a big fan of 400+bhp especially when it comes to launches etc.

The 2.5 engine runs a little warmer then the 2 litre, so a worthwhile mod to keep temps lower
