As what they both say. The pipe u will need will have to be longer . Not hard to look on the web and u will see the kit there are talking about . It's the better one. & cold cold comes from the bottom of the bumper . Low yer the better . But take in mind of water on the road . Keep it in the wheel arch . The pics you will find will show you more . Hope this helped. & we was all wear it one point . Lol
or box off your cone filter from the engine so its not getting hot air, even with a cold air feed going into the middle of your cone all the way round the outside is still going to be sucking in the hot air from around the hot engine , but yea the pipercross like jay said with the carbon fiber box pricey when the oe air box is good
thank you guys so much for the comments and most useful help, should i upload a pic of my filter to show you what its like as it may be different from what ive described lol
Stick up a pic or two mate. There are plenty of us that have fitted a cold air feed from the front of the car to a cone filter (I'm assuming that's what you got) and there are lots of different ways of doing it. You can purchase the few bits and pieces you need off Ebay, then fabricate it for yourself.

Always good to get air as ko down a ms poss . Sorry mate but your cone is right in the hot spot and must be sucking in so much heat . The standed one would of been better . Or just changed the fillter in side. Or if u still have the boxcar cut round it one side . Some of you will no what I meen. But to much work , go back to standed one for now lol.
Not so, that cone is in the only place available unless you stick one in the wing and plenty of big hp engines run the cone in that same area without issue, many without a cold air feed. The RCM Gobstopper is a good example and that doesn't do too badly.

.
Here's mine with an RCM cone filter. Cold air comes in from the left and masses of cooling air comes in through the bonnet scoop, perhaps a good reason to leave it in place when going to a FMIC. Running well over 400bhp, no heat problems.

I like your set up looks nice. And you right with your car the air hole is in the best place .& it looks right . I have a classic 1994. Have been trying to get as much cold air into my engine . There are so many hot spots.

Wrap a bit of heat sleeving stuff around the 2 pipes to the header tank, every little helps to manage under bonnet and inlet temps.
