Hi guys. I'm building my 2.1 stroker. Just wondering what intercooler should I use? A Top Mount, or a Front mount? ATM I have the small top mount which came with the car (version 1).
And also, second had or brand new?
Need to find one ASAP!
Again, I'm on a very tight budget this time!

You'll want a front mount I would think because you cannot fit a large top mount in the v1 engine bay without a lot of hassle. All depends on what bhp you want to run but if you've gone to the effort of a 2.1, I'd say you'll want a front mount.

Get yourself on Aztec Performance and buy a Hybrid HDI GT Spec 2 front mount, best off going all out in 1st place rather than scrimp n scrape then have to do it all again soon after

Ive recently built a V2 engine and went the FMIC route, I'm guessing ultimately your looking for big power so would also suggest FMIC. I chose the HDI, it works very well.
TMIC from later cars can be adapted/modified to fit but you will need fabrication skills/equipment (I didnt have). A cheapo autobahn intercooler will get you out of trouble and should be able to cope with 300 horses with ease. Maybe replace it with a HDI or high end core at a later date.?
