Hi all, Has anyone ever experienced the panel which the air con radiator and coolant radiator sit on rotting away. I'm changing my radiator and noticed that the brackets near enough rusted off along with the horizontal body panel. Deciding whether to cut it out, replace with a piece of steel and bolt it up or not. Can you buy replacement parts like this?

 

Yep very common on Imprezas for this horizontal beam to rust away. There are no parts you can buy other then maybe the original part and have it welded in.

I would get it welded up with some new metal. I am not sure ifs it structural but I would have thought so as it is the biggest part of metal going one side to the other.
