Default 92mm piston rings

Hi there - first post, but I'm unlikely to frequent these parts, as I don't have a scoob.

The reason for the post however, is that I'm looking for an alternate to an OEM oil control ring for a Ducati engine I'm working on at the moment, and I understand that the subaru engine uses 92mm pistons.

Does anyone have an oil control ring to hand that can measure off all the appropriate dimensions to see whether they are likely to be compatible? (the Ducati rings are very expensive and difficult to source).

Regards,
Mike

Correct me if I am wrong, Ducati's have nikosil bores, so you would need compatable rings to run with them, it would also help if you give the width & thickness of the rails & expander diamensions.

You are entirely correct - are the scoob bores not?, and therefore is there no point in investigating any further?

Can measure up this evening, if the first item isn't a showstopper.

No, Subaru bores on the std production engines are not nicosil.

Ok - thanks very much for confirming. Sounds like I've only got one (expensive) option then...
