Default Wing air feed

I'm in progress of adding a vent to assist air into the drivers wing where the snorkel was on my 1994 wrx. I got the vent off eBay and added mesh, but is the mesh I've used going to be too restrictive? Not sure whether I need to get larger diamond mesh?

Your air filter is a lot more restrictive than that and air gets through it. lol

Infact you don't even need mesh.
