Yes would make a difference, more top end power compared to the TD04, but im sure that turbo come off a Version 4 STi?? And a Version 4 STi are around 16 years old now so do you really want to be putting a 16 year old turbo on your car???

Better off having a TD04 Hybrid from Andy Forrest, at least you have a warranty etc!!! on his website he has the hybrid version TD04 as £450 exchange and it will make 320lbft and 320bhp. With full boost coming in at 2500rpm on a 2.0!!

Bug STi?? Dont they come with a VF30 as standard??? Isnt that a better turbo then a vf23??? pretty sure you would make 340bhp on a VF30.

It was detuned just before I bought it, it had a big billet turbo so a 23 was fitted cheaper than a 35 or anything I suppose.

Funny I de-tuned a V6 STi a few years ago and replaced the big turbo for a VF23 that come from my brothers V4 STi.

This is the route i'm taking with my blob wagon daily driver.

OP; I wouldn't concentrate too much on the top end numbers, as they say "it's what's under the curve that counts".
