Default Uprated headers worth it?

I've got a 2003 blob sti! With all supporting mods!

Fmic
Airfilter
Full 3" decatted exhaust
Ect

Now my car is 351bhp & 330ft-at the moment as I use romraider for my mapping 👍!

I'm just wondering is it actually worth the £££ on stock turbo! To get that little bit more out of it?

Thanks

Fmic can help with engine temps esp in summer and also help prevent heatsoak in traffic. However their are cars many cars which happily run on a top mount for power up to 420+. Again it depends on what you use the car for and where u drive it. Their are people who also mention fmic will give you lag etc. But if the car is getting mapped which it should after fmic change then you wouldn'tnotice any lag.

Cheers dj

I ran 400bhp/420lb torque on standard headers with magnex up pipe. This was on a 2.5. I personally dont think you need to port them.

standard is fine but to pull the torque round the mid range I found tubular headers fine, lost a small bit of spool but midrange filled the gap better
