Default TSL pulse extraction owners (on a newage)

Ok I have just bought a JDM bugeye STI and it has come with the TSL pulse extraction exhaust (the one with the slip joints and springs) fitted (however I believe this is a recent addition) and it appears to be catching on the car at the rear subframe everytime the car goes over a bump and is making a knocking noise (that I thought was rear suspension at first)

My question is has anyone else experienced this with the TSL (or any other 3inch exhaust for that matter) and what did you do to rectify it? I cant imagine that it is a problem with workmanship considering how well made the exhaust looks so guess it is down to install error?

Any help would be greatly appreciated even if it is just a pointer in the right direction

Thanks for the reply

Yeah it surprised me to be honest hence why I was looking into problems with the suspension. I realise clearence is going to get a little tighter with the 3inch diameter but like you say it shouldnt touch!

Just out of interest how much clearence have you got where the pipe passes the rear subframe and then bends for the backbox rear hanger? (hope that makes sense??)

System all looks good with no odd bends or signs of damage.

I did take it off the car yesterday and noticed where the downpipe should connect to the gearbox mount the exhaust bracket is about 15 to 20mm further towards the front of the car so if the gearbox mount is in the right place (and it would appear to be) then the whole exhaust is sitting 15 to 20mm to far forward which I think is causing the clearance issue at the back. I have been able to adjust it slightly which has given me a little more room and it now doesnt knock but it still isnt ideal
