only legal to the b pillar, took me an hour to get the crap blue tint off the front side of mine.

Might just park outside the local police station and let them get the other side off it's like their super glued on.

Lucky you weren't fined.

Front tints? Totally within there rights I'm afraid. Although I'm sure there are far better things they could be doing like raising money through speeding fines or something to pay for there unmarked land rovers and bmws etc :/

You are lucky you didn't get a fine to be honest. It's the law... break it and you can't bitch when you get caught. It's like speeding. Speed away. But when you get caught take it like a man and just say "fair enough I knew I was in the wrong". To be honest tints are actually a safety issue so one of the more justified things to pick up on IMO.

People are quick to pull the old "Haven't they got anything better to do" line. But to be honest it's a silly thing to say. A Police Officer is driving along patrolling an area he/she is responsible for... no current jobs. So what is he/she supposed to be doing? I am sure if they see a rapist/burglar/drug dealer etc they would take that over your tints. It's better they are proactive and visible then sat in the office drinking tea. Not saying that some officers don't go OTT with enforcing things as they can use discretion. But it's like any job. You get good ones and bad ones.

P.s. the money raised from tickets doesn't go to the Police. It certainly doesn't fund their vehicles. Most police vehicles are actually shockingly under spec'd. Yes roads policing and firearms get better vehicles for a reason but your average response cars are the absolute basic model 1.6d from the likes of Ford or Vauxhall.

Lol, nah although I have been there.... never married tho. My post wasn't a personal attack by the way . I think when people get caught for something they need to remember all the things that they have gotten away with .

Haha yea thats true. I was pretty reasonable i took it on the chin i knew it was a matter of time i got pulled before but lucky enough he didnt have his tester so gave me a warning. This time though He said there will be something in the post im just hoping its not points or a fine he kept asking if i had points so fingers crossed he let me off lightly.

Ha ha ha, serves you right. What gives you the right to break the law? and endanger the lives of other road users because you can't see out of your side windows?

Don't forget to light a *** and have a smoke while your using petrol to get the glue off.

What is the safety issue with tints? not being a dick, i am just unsure what it is, as i thought tints helped with safety, as if you are in a bad crash and the window shatters the tint film keeps the glass in one piece?

Am i wrong in thinking you can have a tint on the front windows (not the windscreen) as long as it is a certain transparency?

Don't mind a bit of role play or rough but unless your a fit bird or look mighty cute in jeans then maybe, but hairy arsed 40 somethings aren't my thing so your safe.

I was just pulling your pisser fella (obviously you got that) sounds like you found a couple of decent coppers to me.
