John, re your comments on my (old) sites figures, your right, the geabox on the R35 GTR does seem to improve the times somewhat, bearing in mind my variables are very limited, its very impressive for a heavy car. I've always said in my websites notes that gearboxes, especially dog boxes or sequentials on drag cars, can improve the figures. Glad your still checking the site out. I really need to update and do some work to it! cheers

I think a hot hatch would be a disappointment. None of them are really fast, and in the wet most of them are a joke. My wife's Golf is entirely unimpressive, but people rave about them.

However, at the moment, everyone wants to save money and shelling out on something that you don't like is annoying. I felt like that with the M3, wasn't worth it. Jap clutter is certainly a way to go fast, although they can be money pits depending on what you buy, how it is tuned and how lucky you are, plus as discussed you look a tit.

My brakes no longer squeal when I gave them a good roasting. That was doing my nut in. Found a local guy to detail it for a good price as well, seen his work - excellent.

I've been developing a lot more ECU stuff - I'd just converted it to run without the MAF sensor when you came over, now transferring this work to other Evo ECUs.

Depending on my wife's job situation, I might chop her Mk V GTI in for a 335i to run daily, tune it to 380 BHP, fit a stroker and tune the Evo to 600 BHP It is only money, and it makes no interest in the bank.

Hi John how are you? thanks for the run in the evo it was a well sorted car i was originally thinking of getting something that would eclipse the car i already had but now iam thinking i might just get a fast hot hatch iam thinking the mps and leave as standard.reason being i just had another expensive bill for my car which has pissed me right off so want to downgrade rather than upgrade running costs wise.

how about you are you still hanging onto yours?whats your plans?
i had a wee play with an m3 today there wasnt much in it initially but i could see and hear it hadnt yet got into its stride as we were coming up to traffic.
when i was coming up to yours thats when i had a race with the civic type R but i didint want to disapoint you before you got into my car lol.
    anyhow speak soon
    derek
