Thanks for the sarcasm, im not stupid, just want to do everything right with my car, and its the first time ive owned a turbocharged car so will need as much advice as possible!
I would think the best way of modding your car will be to look and search on SN, see what peeps have done and what the results were, if good do it,
if not leave it, and if nothing comes up on the search and no one seems to have used it leave it alone..

The question (unlike some you see on here) was quite legitimate. About six years ago there was a group buy on these items, and quite a lot of people took up the offer, including me! so I bet there are quite a few laying around in the garage or shed nowadays! The device only works when there is negative manifold pressure ie off boost. It shuts against positive pressure, so does not operate on boost. I found it to be of little use on the Scoob as, of course, a fair percentage of driving is on boost. Keep off boost and you may well find a very small mpg improvement, but not enough to warrant the initial cost of the unit.
I keep meaning to fit my one to the wifes Primera and see how it performs on a normally aspirated car.

PS Just to say that when it was on the Scoob, I experienced no running problems.

I think its a fair comment.. They are a complete Placeob, EcoTek PLC recently had to change their "claims" because of legal action.

Got a feeling, like me, that (as a long-ish term contributor to SN) you are getting a bit impatient with some of the posts all to common on this forum lately? I don't think however, this is one of them?
