Default Newbie - exhaust :-)

Ok people, had my 2001 awd gx impreza for a few weeks now.. Been out of the loop on having a car I can actually do more than fill the washer fluid and inflate the tyres in a while..

The Back box is a little rattly and being a Subaru I kinda want a deeper hum that most associate with it..

Can I fit this (below) directly onto existing manifold or do I need an entire exhaust..

Be gentle

:-) thanks

Have you contacted them yet? As by the looks of it they have a few different versions

As above I would phone and check as would imagine they are probably for a turbo. Not sure if that would fit a non turbo. If it's a full system for a turbo it definitely won't fit.

Welcome Stu,

Remember the header give the burble and not the exhaust - might be worth making sure you have unequal length headers as I think the non turbos had equal length?

Ooh !

This all a learning curve.. Last cars I owned that I could modify were VW aircooleds.. Including a rath loud baja beetle with twin cannons.. And since they were all red engined the exhaust was short and straight off the engine onto manifold into back box..

Stu - if its not too far from you, call Hayward and Scott in Basildon. I had my Classic Sport done there. Many years ago, but they did a great job.

That's a good point, and if you want to know what it will sound like I'm in Chelmsford and my wwife's sport special has a Hayward and Scott back box on it .
