I keep getting phone calls from agencies who insist they have buyers lined up for my car, all I got to do is pay them £90 and they'll put us in touch, and guarantee that the car would be sold in 7 days. If the buyer buys the car on finance, I'll get the £90 back as the agency can claim it back on the buyers interest rate!

Is it me being sceptical about this or could this be genuine? has anyone had any experience with these agencies?

Just like putting an ad on Autotrader etc...... Just the ad fee. Difference being they are touting for business....

Just advertise on pistonheads and other forums. Much cheaper.......

Andy had the same sort of thing when he was selling his car. We didn`t know if it was genuine or not either, but we went with our gut instinct and didn`t take up their offers, we waited until a genuine buyer came along.

It is very frustrating when all you want to do is sell your car.

Just remember next time you write an ad for the car to include, no canvassers, no agencies and no scammers.

Put that on my ad and didn't hear a dicky bird from the annoying agencies.

Funny you should say that, I took my daughter (she's 7) over to the inlaws monday night, and she got upset that I'm selling the car. She kept saying I'm not allowed to sell it and that she don't want me to sell it, then started kissing the seat belt and door, so I asked her how come she'll kiss the car, but she won't kiss me, her answer "Because I love the car" - yeah, thanks Bethany!!!

I can only agree on the above comments, I have sold 2 and each time regretted it.

1st time was out of my control but 2nd was just a mad 5 minutes.

Picking up my new one tonight and can't wait.

Apart from the fact the cars are great fun (IMHO )

The ESC are a great bunch of people to be associated with, if you get involved in everything or just occasionally its nice to belong.

 

This is one of the biggest reasons why i want another scooby.

this i think is an excellent idea. may i suggest that on joining the esc / sidc' an agreement is signed stating that "without valid reason (to be agreed by fellow members on a majority vote), the owner is not allowed to sell the car because of the hollow, lonelyness (sp) that they will feel afterwards.

Forgot to mention that the kit car IS rear wheel drive with a straight 6 2 litre engine and weighs just over 1/2 ton so should have a power to weight ratio of around 220bhp

Bit of a dilema, do I finish the Roadster as a track car, or put it through the SVA? So logically, if I go for a track day car then I have to get a trailer, but that money could be used for the SVA test, and can drive it to the circuit! problem sorted

The Auto Trader ad expires this Sunday, out of interest, why don't you lot want me to sell the car?

 

Took the aircon out as it weighs too much, so my own fault really
Football - Shouldn't of sold my air rifle so my fault again
Tracker - for my own piece of mind, don't want some scum bag to get away with stealing the car.
Tyres, the T1-R's are so much more hard wearing, had them on a year and they're still like new, though haven't been to see Andy Walsh recently
Graphics - Must admit, I do like the attention, especially when I spend the day polishing the car.

 

Put a flamer back on it today, and does it flame up!!! one point, I thought it blew the back end of the car off!!!!
