My name's Bibo.. and I'm a modoholic
PLEASE HELP ME - MOD ADDICT
It all started last year when I purchased my 36th car after years of trying to find the perfect vehicle for me.....
The car in question was a 1998 Subaru Impreza Terzo in Sonic Blue (The best colour, I was told!!!)
When I picked up the car it was standard but had quite a few options fitted from new. Large STI 2 spoiler, skirts, gold speedline wheels......
I only managed to buy this car as I had gained permision from "her indoors" to sell my Ford ST which was only 6 months old, because I took a vow to keep this car for at least 3 years!!!!! Something I'd never achieved.
Anyway, back to my problem.... As I said, the car was at a fairly good spec already and I had made up my mind to keep it like that. This is the point it all goes wrong and my life turns into a dark abyss.
It started harmlessly someone offered me some rally style mud flaps and a detango then before I knew it I was buying some new rims...... oh but it didn't stop there...
I couldn't stop!!! I was spending all my spare time researching things I could do to my car.... I had a problem... I found myself coming home from work everyday with something new.... it got so bad I had to hide things I'd brought.... the wife would say..... "I'm sure those wheels were smaller when I last saw them...." I'd just deny everything.....
I found myself making excuses to change bits... "oh that glovebox has a mark on it"... down to ESB to buy another one!!! It was hell.
Anyway, I'm now on my 3rd set of wheels in 3 months and I think the car has taken over my life. I am getting better though... only yesterday I almost hit "buy it now" on another set of wheels!!!!!
I thought I'd share this as I need someone to tell me that the feeling will go away and one day soon my obsession will end?
Thanks for reading.....
Bibo
P.S. still love the car!

You need to have therapy
ESC organise these on the 2nd and 3rd Thursday each month when you can sit and discuss your problems with Fellow sufferers of this incurable condition.

Oh you poor thing
This is why I keep my car standard as I know once I start I won't be able to stop myself!!
I'm worried about getting my alloys refurb'd incase that starts it all off...... c'mon if Tiny got addicted just by buying some mats !!!

Ive grown out of my wheel addiction my saff cossie had 5 sets in 6 months lol
3 by my mate who was the previous owner and 2 by me
Dont worry about it.. if i were you id decide where you want to go with the car and stick to it.. else you'll go round and round in circles spending money hand over fist just for the sake of it.
You see people mod their car just for the sake of it.. puely because they cant leave it alone.
You'll never afford that bugeye sti if you keep on spending it on the Terzo.

Modaholoic??
Guilty as charged, I partially blame Jonjo about having a 2.5 engine don't worry about the fact the old one went bang, well, knock knock rumble RUMBLE B A N G!!
while the engine was out, decided to go for it with a few extra goodies. though I'm getting better, sold the 20G and decided to have a reasonably stock engine setup
