Default Does anyone work for DVLA????

It's so frustrating!!! (when did this forum stop being for Events??? )
Anyway.....I have changed my private plates over, and am now just waiting for my new V5 form, but its taking ages!!!!

I called them today, and tried the damsel in distress trick, but alas, it didn't work!! I've put a deposit on my new Scooby, but can't let my car go, without a V5...well I could but that would be dodgier than my OH's Dodge Ram!!!!

Does anyone work there, that could help nudge the process along!!!???????

I WANT MY NEW SUBARU IMPREZA!!!!! *throws dummy out of pram*!!

i think you can just turn up at the dvla office in chelmsford, well make an appointment, and they sort it straight away for private plates don't they?

Plates are all changed over, went to chelmsford and done it, and it is quicker, but when you get the confirmation that the car is back on normal plates, they dont include the V5. That, for some reason, arrives seperately??

So I'm vertully (sp) mugging the postman as he is walking down the road!!!!!

As long as you have the retention or purchase certificate V something or other I thought it was fine ? I had plates made up and registered same day and the V5 came in the post ? Did it all at chelmsford.

Yeah. The thing is its a bit Dodgy if I give the new owner to my car, the car without a V5 as that means he'll be driving around in it and its registered to me!!??

I should just be patient and it will arrive soon......................I hope!! I'll start praying to the V5 Gods!!!

Not sure if I'll be coming to run this Sat and next Tues in a Scooby then....
