**H/H meet on tour: The Crown, Laindon Hills, 8/6/06**
In answer to some criticism, the Halfway House meet is going on tour for a few months. It's been agreed to try out The Crown on Laindon Hills.
A couple of us did a recce up there, it's a big pub, a beer garden and a large Car Park. It was quite busy too.
However, two words of warning, someone (not me
) got stopped by the Police when we visited, which by all accounts is a regular occurance. Of more concern is that fact that the pub is under a HUGE telephone mast, which plays havoc with some cars' alarm systems, therefore, you are advised to know your code etc!!
So, who fancies a change of scenery?? For those who don't know where it is a map will appear soon, plus there'll probably be a run down from the H/H at about 7PM (depends on numbers)

I didn't think my internet waas working either but the old internet company still haven't disconected it and have stopped charging! Oh well - free internet!
