The RS arrives!
It's all a bit surreal - the RS is finally here
After a year and a week since ordering during which time I've Emailed the MD and made numerous moans to various people, it landed in Dagenham last Thursday and I picked it up this Wednesday.
As I've only done about 40 miles so far so no firm impressions yet but initially, driving home in 'normal' mode, it felt VERY ordinary. Going to 'sport' sharpens up the throttle response and it instantly feels much better! There's so much on it to learn - far too much for a poor old pensioner git like me, going to get my 4 year old granddaughter to explain it all to me Anyway, weather permitting, I'll be at the Rodney next month.

I had mine within 6 months John, I've read about all your emailing on the rsoc, it's probably gone on deaf ears mate, ive done 300 miles in mine since having it in September, just can't be arsed using it, picked my gtd up on 4th of October and that's on 1800 miles.
I've heard a few issues of owners engines suddenly ****ting themselves, you heard anything John?

Been quite gentle with it - no real chance to try it although following a Mustang down the A12 at just over 1**mph felt very easy. I felt quite at home with the fuel consumption being similar to the Scoob As I write, it's only got 90 miles on it.
I heard about a couple of early ones dropping a valve but other than that no really nasty rumours.
The Magnetic grey along with the black alloys looks quite 'stealthy'
I've got a Mountune 380 upgrade to put on it along with the 'short shift' and also the Mishimoto catch can system (good idea for direct injection engines) All this to go on when I do a 1k oil change in the new year.
