It's nearly here

Just to let everyone know that it has been confirmed we can definately park at Billingsgate, so for our stop off at MacD's we will be parking in the market which avoids the risk of obstructing anyone else or getting a parking ticket. The market authorities are letting us do this free of charge, and hopefully will in following years, so we need to be courteous, eg, no litter etc!

The charity is the Neonatal Unit (Special Care Baby Unit) at Basildon Hospital, and all proceeds from tunnel run stickers (£5 each) will go to this. If you don't want a sticker then you will still need to get a parking pass for Billingsgate (small sticker for front windscreen - free), so see one of the organisers on the night for all stickers.

We will be going around with collecting buckets for any spare pennies, and I am also doing a raffle to raise money - unfortunately the local car-related businesses I contacted for prizes weren't very forthcoming, but I did get a prize of a free dyno run, free vehicle safety and diagnostic check, and £25 off a service at Perfect Touch (performance vehicle specialists) at Hoddesdon Hertfordshire, so for anyone reasonably local that is well worth having, as they have done a great job on my car. Also a £10 Halfords voucher. Tickets £1 , to be drawn after the run and winners notified by phone.

That's it I think, except don't know what the weather's going to be like - anyone?
