Default EXTREME High emmisions After Remap !!

Could be totally coincidental but then again, might not be LOL

Had the car 8 years, always passed on emmisions, it has a sports cat and he usually put it thru as a non cat car being an M reg etc and it usually passes with flying colours, anyhoo, MOT just gone he advises me emmisions are very very high, so, here are the figures as i went back their today to get a reading

This is on a catted cycle but even if it was a non cat test, would still fail.

So, where do i go from here, is it a Mapping issue or is it a failed Lambda ?

The MOT guy says the cat looks to be working as the HC are low and usually if a cat has failed, it only goes up by 1 unit, not this much LOL

Before i start Buggin Duncan Thought id get some input from fellow mappers/users to see if i can fix it 1st before i call on his services LOL

cheers

Hope it is, then its a relitavly easy repair then a quick re-tweak by the guru LOL (one of many, not to offend LOL) but need to know if its a mapping issue that can be tweaked out or if it is the lambda, dont want the hassle of changing it if its a setting issue.

cheers

Dean - am over that way next week. Could hook in and try and see but on the early esl there is little by the way of control to switch off faulty lambda sensor or check voltages or fuel trims. Could well be lambda sensor (they do fail). If it is i should be able to get it closer to lambda 1

Hi Bud, cheers for the input, would it be better to source a new lambda and then tweak the MAP or shall i just wait and see if you can sort it with current lambda next week ?

cheers
