Good evening.
I am currently driving a 06 hawk wrx but been offered good trade in against a 04 sti. Question is the sti has a ecutec remap full decat and is loud been told to change rear box to quieten it down. Will I need it remapped because of this? Its so nice this sti its only got 41k and feels really tight.

Hi mate
If your putting a more restrictive box on it may well affect how the car has been mapped, not dramatically but it could.
If I were you I would find out who mapped it, what system is on it and what box you plan to fit then ask him the question.
At that power level 330-340 bhp a 2.5 inch system won't be restrictive so you should be ok..... Hth
