Default Single coil pack

Hi all I'm sure this has been covered before I've looked and there is a link that converts new coils to old by adding wires and so on but I'm looking to put a single ignition coil on my inlet manifold and run ht leads down to the spark plugs my question is the original wire connectors of the individual coils are these ment to be cut all the red wires of all four go to the middle wire coming from the single coil pack no1 and no2 coil wires got to the yellow and 3 and 4 go to blue will the car start and run with no problems I'm in desperate need of any help as I don't see that wiring one and two together will give you individual sparks and they won't set of together please can anyone help me sorry if everyone thinks it's crap

Do you have coil on plug ignition system then? Are there 3 or 2 wires to each of your coils?
Why do you wish to convert to wasted spark system?

Hi I was told last night that a single coil is a wasted spark and single coils are better as it's a direct spark when needed so spark plugs last a bit longer apparently they are the better ones to go for but I don't know what year coils to get to do the mod everyone's doing my engines a 96 uk wrx and am hoping to get big brake out of it eventually

No such thing.

You should have coil packs fitted, best option is to upgrade to Newage items.

Totally agree. Fitted newage coil packs to my 95 wrx. Never looked back.
