Type R remap what should I expect?
Hello all
Just run in my 99 type R after full rebuild 500 ish miles:
Omega pistons, full race bearings, gaskets, everything re-worked.
The car is standard bar a straight through stainless and a walbro pump.
Anyway I'm getting the car mapped this week hopefully, just going down the ecutek route as I'm not sure how long I'm going to keep the car.
It's had a new MAF and just had the rebuild, although it doesn't seem tone running perfect, it hunts a bit and isn't smooth at all when driving, seams to smell a lot and uses loads of fuel. Only getting 20mpg at most (running it in)
I've had it back to the garage that repaired it and they have given it the once over, there's no fault codes. And everything is where it. Should be, no splits in pipes ect.
Just wondering if a remap will cure it and what power if any I should see?
