Ok, so I am nearly finished with my ver5 swap into my rs. I ran a ems 8860 in my last engine. I really had no support for tuning the EMS 8860 here in the usa. Most of the tuning shops here had absolutely no clue on how that system worked. I have ditched this set up and now will be running the factory ecu that came with the ver5 engine. It seems as there are many options here in UK/Europe, but what would be best for me overseas? Obviously I want something easy to use and with the least amount local tuners messing with it. My understanding is the JDM ECU is programmed for higher octane/RON ratings that I cant readily get here in the usa, so I am a bit nervous about this. I am keeping this car fairly close to stock this time. Mostly suspension work, less on the motor.
Any suggests, comments are appreciated.

Second option is go with Syvecs,great ECU with 8 maps,Wideband control,Knock control,ALS,LC for no extra fee,NOS/Water Methanol control,Flexi Fuel,datalogging etc

In USA is dealer and mappers for Syvecs,but I would speak with Syvecs directly

Depends on the budget,but ESL Daughterboard are much cheaper than Syvecs,but Syvecs have lot more functions
