Problems Help Required
I have a 97 wrx which I have had a recon lump put in. The car was a Jap import.
I have put a VF24 Turbo on it and a 4 into 1 manifold is an 8s ECU up to the job.
Alternatively I have a 75 ECU and injectors that were on the same car as the VF24 Turbo.
Is it just a case of swapping the injectors and ECU or is there anything else I should be aware of ??
I have less than 3wks before I take the car on a charity run any advice or help would be greatly recieved.

Need to resolve what car you have first! You say you have a 97 wrx, but then ask if the 8S ecu is up to the job - the 8S is an ecu from a turbo 2000, not a wrx, which are different cars...
If you have a wrx, then your best bet is to stick with the standard turbo - the VF24 won't give you much extra, and then you can be sure it will be okay.
If you have a turbo 2000, then you have some probelms, as the standard turbo control maps are completely wrong for that turbo.
If you bring the 75 ecu over, you would need to change the engine, injectors and MAF for the STi equivalent.
If you stick with the 8S, then you would need to either get it mapped or get an external boost controller. If you go the external boost controller route, you will be limited by injectors and fuel cut setting. If you get it mapped, you will be limited by the injectors but you could change them for the STi and have it mapped to match the injectors.

You're right it is a Turbo 2000 which shows the lack of knowledge I have !!
So if I used the 8s and changed the injectors for the STi ones and had it remapped would i then be able to use the VF24 turbo ??
Thanks Nick
