Default What to do next?

Hi all,

Very new to the Scooby world.

I have a 2002 WRX with 98k on the clock.
The car has had a bit done to it in the past, but looks like most of its been removed.
The car has an induction kit, dump valve, decat and a 3" straight through exhaust system with a HKS hyper back box. (So really no silencers)
I don't think the car has a remap as there is no markings on the ECU.
It also has an ECU data reader.
I was just wondering what would others do next before a remap.
Or should it have one already as its running a decat?
Or fuel pump ect.

Or should I get a dyno test first to see if it has had a remap, is there any way of checking?

Any info would be great.

Cheers

Hi there

If you are at Essex I would contact Neil@Slowboy racing, which is based just outside Brands Hatch

Second bit,HKS is great exhaust,we are run HKS exhaust and we are loved our one.
About the remap as above speak with Neil@Slowboy racing, there shouldn't be any marking on the ECU,you can only check with Tactrix cable or any mapper should be able to check

If you are running full decat I would assume you should have remap, about the recommended parts prior for remap, would say fuel pump(HRC are good and reliable),panel filter and plugs(PFR6B or PFR7B)

Cheers for the info,

So is a panel filter better then a induction kit?
Do you know much about the ECU data reader?
In the user setting screen it has a bit that says use map version info or ECU info.
Could this be because it has had a remap?

Cheers again

Hi there

Yes Panel Filter is better at yours bhp level,if you are going with FMIC then Induction kit is only way to go

What ECU reader do you have?

Ok cool.

I think it's a ECU data monitor psi 3.

With a new fuel pump would I need a remap straight away or could it wait?

PSi3 ECU Data monitor are good and usually they will not recognize if you have remap or not

Fuel Pump require at least AFR checking and hope this help
