re-map rough price guide?
Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone could give me a ball park figure to have my 2002 bug wrx re-mapped? Need to save to get it done, so just wondered how much it will cost. The car is standard at the moment apart from 3" cat back system. Also who would be the closest to Devon, reputable person to have it done with. What would be a rough figure for bhp gain as well please. Any help appreciated.

Just had my 2001 Bugeye WRX remapped by Andy Carr (generally does North of Birm / Wales etc) and mine got 300BHP and 290 lb/ft. It had:
Walbro 255
Decat'd up pipe
Decat'd centre section
3" exhaust from centre to backbox
550cc Denso injectors
VF30 turbo
WR1 / STi intercooler

I'd budget on £650 for an Ecutek remap or about £350 for an open source remap - I've had an open source on mine and will do it again - for fairly simple mods it works and the quality comes down to the mapper
