Default Apexi probems

Hi my mate a second hand apexi fc power to his 99 classic and it won't start and after a few times it starts but u have to keep the revs on now it starts no probs with standard ecu anyone with any idears at all ????

I'm assuming your mate has not had it mapped yet then, it needs to be.

You can reset the ECU via the commander, it will start and run and learn idle etc, but it needs to be mapped as the base map is way too aggressive and you will undoubtedly kill your engine quite quickly

also check its not set to control the boost as it wont start if its not got the apexi 3 port to control the boost. change the setting in the menu.

We have reset it. How do you change the boost setting this is brand new to us and don't have a clue wot where doin yet, and as for mapping it bob Rawle mapping it in two weeks just we have to get it running first to get it there

And could it of had the pins changed to run a uk as the car is a jdm

Drive it there on the old ECU, Bob wouldnt expect the ECU installed. Not like it's a hard job once there. Are you running an AVCR aswell ? If you are there is a small amount of splicing to be done for which you will need a wiring diagram.

Do a google search for Apexi ECU manual, I found one

No not running avcr aww that's good it is a 2second job to change were just hoping it may a faulty unit
